KISTEP signed a consulting memorandum of understanding with MIGHT (Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology), an agency of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation for the establishment of Malaysia’ national R&D evaluation system.
MIGHT is an independent non-profit organization of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Malaysia. It plays the leading role in the development of advanced technology and related industries by establishing partnership between the government and private enterprises or arranging necessary compromises between the two parties.
With the MOU, KISTEP, based on its experiences as an evaluation agency of science and technology, will help MIGHT expand its evaluation to the whole research and development of the country, instead of evaluation of some individual R&D projects as it does right now.
KISTEP will lead MIGHT to clearly define the purposes and effects of the R&D projects and establish a comprehensive national evaluation system.
