KISTEP held an inauguration ceremony for its president Lee June-Seung on August 29. President Lee served as the 5th president of KISTEP from August 2008 and was appointed the 6th president at the KISTEP board of directors held on August 1. His appointment was approved by the chairman of National Science & Technology Commission.
President Lee June-Seung, the first person to serve for two terms, offered ‘contributions’ and ‘sympathy’ as his management philosophies in his inaugural remarks. He further said that he would do his best to make KISTEP a workplace full of wisdom and happiness as a way to make contributions to the nation and manage the institute the way that everyone can sympathize with.
He added that he would establish scientific methodologies that are universally appropriate and based on logical grounds, make the best use of them while disseminating them widely. He also stressed that he would work hard to enhance staff’s professionalism so that the institute could be reborn as an organization that presents applicable effective solutions instead of unrealistic theories.
