Hideki Iwabuch, the Head of Basic Research Promotion Division, Research Promotion Bureau, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan, and His Party visited KISTEP on January 6.
 
Division Head Hideki Iwabuch visited KISTEP together with Yukihide Hayashi, a senior researcher and, Junko Okayama, a researcher, of CRDS (Center of Research and Development Strategy) affiliated to JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency), to have a talk with President Youngah Park, Chiyong Kim, the head of the Office of S&T Policy & Planning, and so on.
 
They had some time for in-depth discussion under the topics of the role of science and technology in materializing the Creative Economy of Korea, the difference between the Creative Economy of Korea and Abenomics of Japan, success cases of Creative Economy, and change in governance. They also had a discussion on establishment of continuous cooperation relation between the two institutes, KISTEP and JST-CRDS.
