KISTEP made a business agreement with National Agency for Technological Development (NATD) in Kazakhstan for the research cooperation in the field of science and technology on May 22.

Taking the opportunity of this agreement, both organizations shall promote a mutual cooperative measure through the mutual research and research labor exchange, the R&D education & training program operation, and the hosting of joint symposium in the fields of R&D Evaluation, Science & Technology Policy Planning, Technology Prediction, and Budget Control.
 
Before this agreement, KISTEP made an agreement with NIF (National Innovation Fund) which was the predecessor of NATD in Kazakhstan for three years from September, 2010, and proceeded the consulting project about the basic system design for the national science & technology innovation. Through this project, KISTEP proceeded a customized consulting business to establish a Kazakhstan national innovation system such as the national level technology prediction, the deduction of future strategic technology and R&D project design.   
 
Youngah Park, a president of KISTEP said, "It seems that the closer cooperation shall be possible through this business agreement after the science & technology consulting in Kazakhstan which has been promoted for three years." She disclosed, "We shall put an effort to make a practical accomplishment between Korea with the experience of rapid economic growth and Kazakhstan of a great resource nation through one step ahead exchange & cooperation."
