The S&T Gender Innovation Forum Inaugural General Meeting was held in the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies on June 17, jointly hosted by KISTEP and WISET (Woman in Science, Engineering and Technology).

'The S&T Gender Innovation Forum' was launched, in the critical time of increasing investment and role of science & technology in Korea, to enhance the recognition by Korea's science & technology community about the importance of Gender Innovation which had been settled as one of important issues in the world science & technology community along with the expansion of consensus; to inform 'Gender Summit 2015' which will be held in Korea in September, 2015 as a part of Gender Summit which had proceeded by the continental unit such as Europe, North America and Africa since 2011; and to proactively participate in the worldwide gender network.

This forum, which was held with the purpose of opening a new prospect in R & D through the gender innovation, proceeded by the order of the opening address by Youngah Park, a president of KISTEP, the progress report by Haesook Lee, a president of WISET and the congratulatory addresses by important figures, the keynotes lecture by Heeyung Baek, a professor of Seoul National University and a chairperson of KOFWST (Korea Federation of Women's Science & Technology Associations), and the free debate. The future periodical forum shall be held in even months.
