The 9th Tri-lateral S&T Policy Seminar was Held in Chengdu, China

The 9th Tri-Lateral S&T Policy Seminar was held in Chengdu, China on November 10th and 11th.
The S&T Policy Seminar is held by 5 Korean, Chinese and Japanese organizations specialized in science and technology policies in rotation from 2006 with the purpose of discovering and discussing pending issues and reinforcing the network among the 5 organizations. KISTEP has hosted the 5th Seminar in Jeju Island in 2010.
The 5 organizations specialized in science and technology policies are KISTEP (Korea Institute of S&T Evaluation and Planning) and STEPI (S&T Policy Institute) of Korea, CAS/IPM (Chinese Academy of Sciences/Institute of Policy and Management) and CASTED (Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development) of China, and NISTEP (National Institute of Science and Technology Policy) of Japan.
In this seminar jointly hosted by the two Chinese organizations, some 50 persons participated to share the major business achievements of each organization, and attended diverse sessions held on the topics such as innovation of science and technology for green growth, science and technology diplomacy, technology prediction and public participation.
During the seminar period, KISTEP renewed the existing business agreements with CAS/IPM and CASTED of China, and reinforced mutual exchange and cooperation with them.
