Online Public Hearing on the 4th Basic Plan for Performance Evaluation

On July 16th, Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and Korea Institute of S&T Evaluation and Planning (KISTEP) held a public hearing on the establishment of the 4th basic plan for government R&D performance evaluation to communicate with and collect diverse opinions from the experts in the S&T field at the Kensington hotel, Yeoido. This event was conducted online via PC and mobile access in response to COVID-19.
 


Sung-soo Kim(Science, Technology and Innovation Office, MSIT) had a greeting and Sung-rae Lee(Performance Evaluation Policy Bureau, MSIT) announced the main agenda for the 4th basic plan for performance evaluation.
 



Shin-doo Lee(Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Seoul National University) led to a panel discussion and Won-yong Kim(Korea University Council of Research&Industry Cooperation, KUCRI), Hak-joo Lee(Korea Institute of Machinery&Materials, KIMM), Heung-ryul Kim(Biotech Policy Research Center, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience&Biotechnology, KRIBB), Dae-won Jang(Daumsoft Smart City Institute), Eun-hye Joe(Ajou University/National Research Lab. of Brain Inflammation) and Sang-ho Lee(Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology, KEIT) participated in the discussion.
 


MSIT will reflect the opinions collected from this public hearing and will propose to the advisory council on S&T at the end of August. MSIT is planning to incrementally apply it from 2021 government R&D performance evaluation.
