Nathan Liu, Tsung-Ju Lee, Hung Quang Phung
Abstract
The robo-advisory market in Taiwan has experienced rapid development since the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) approved automated investment advisory services in 2017. The gradual relaxation of regulations has further facilitated the growth of robo-advisory services, making them more accessible and convenient for investors. Robo-advisors utilize various FinTech tools to provide investment advice. These technologies enable robo-advisors to offer personalized investment advice, build passive trading models, and regularly rebalance portfolios to maintain optimal asset allocation. In these applications, artificial intelligence (AI) tools play an important role. This article reviews the latest developments in Taiwan’s robo-advisors and the related applications of artificial intelligence tools. As the market evolves, robo-advisors will likely play a crucial role in providing innovative financial solutions, optimizing investment strategies, and managing risks more effectively.
