Feasibility Study on Government R&D Programs

Overview

KISTEP performs feasibility studies on new large-scale government R&D programs prior to funding and preliminary technological assessments to select  qualified R&D programs for the feasibility study.
※Legal Basis: Article 38 of the National Finance Act and Article 12 of the Framework Act on Science and Technology

  • Feasibility study on government R&D programs
    • Evaluating comprehensive feasibilities of R&D programs in the realm of technology, policy and economy
    • Performing feasibility studies on newly proposed government R&D programs exceeding KRW 50 billion, with government subsidy over KRW 30 billion
  • Preliminary technological assessment for the qualification of feasibility study
    • Evaluating technological aspects such as necessity, urgency, and exclusiveness of R&D program planning for the qualification of feasilibty study
  • Improving preliminary feasibility study systems 
    • Establishing and revising the guidelines of preliminary feasibility study to improve the system
    • Conducting research on methodologies for enhancing the objectivity, credibility, and effectiveness of the preliminary feasibility study
