Amidst the increasing need for collaboration to cope with international issues like climate change, natural disasters and nuclear energy stability, Korea, China and Japan has agreed to strengthen their collaboration in the area of S&T future forecasting.
KISTEP signed an MOU in Beijing, China on October 27 for a joint research on future forecasting with CAS/IPM (Institute of Policy and Management, Chinese Academy of Sciences) China and NISTEP (National Institute of Science and Technology Policy) Japan.
The three parties have agreed to the field of new renewable energy as the area of their joint forecasting research for next one year on the grounds that the subject has significant economic and social ripple effects and requires major decision making in all three countries.
