National Science & Technology Commission and KISTEP ed ‘Top 100 National R&D Outcomes’ and held ‘Presentations of Excellent National R&D Cases and Certification Ceremony’ at Gwacheon National Science Museum on November 30.
‘Top 100 National R&D Outcomes’ have been ed and announced since 2006 with the purpose of sharing excellent national R&D results and boosting the morale of the people engaged in S&T. The top 100 cases were ed from the R&D programs which were carried out in colleges, research institutions and companies with financial assistance from the government and were implemented by 15 ministries and administrations in 2010. Out of 380 cases recommended by the ministries and administrations, a committee composed of experts in universities, research institutions and industries chose the finalists though objective and strict evaluations based on the excellence and ripple effects of the R&D outcomes.
The 2011 top 100 excellent outcomes consist of 19 from machinery & materials, 15 from basics & infra, 29 from biotech & oceanology, 17 from energy and the environment, 20 from information & electronics.
