A delegation led by Dr. Zakri Abdul Hamid, Science Advisor to Malaysia’s Prime Minister, paid a visit to KISTEP on October 10. The delegates were welcomed by Lee June-seung, President of KISTEP, Yoo Seung-jun, director of Biotechnology and Welfare R&D Coordination Division, and Kim Byeong-su, Division of Corporate Strategy and Global Cooperation. They discussed ways to jointly promote a pan-Asian R&D network aiming at solving common problems faced by Asia such as sustainable growth, the environment, energy and climate change

The delegation asked KISTEP to dispatch professionals to Global Science and Innovation Advisory Council slated for May 2013 in Malaysia to deliver presentations on the issue of food security among others.
