The 2nd Science and Technology Future Forum

NSTC and KISTEP jointly held the 2nd Science and Technology Policy Future Forum at Korea Press Center, Seoul, on October 10.
The forum began with the opening remarks by Im Gi-cheol, a standing member of NSTC and congratulatory remarks by Min Byung-joo, a member of the National Assembly. The topic of the day was ‘Ways of creating jobs based on science and technology.’
Prior to the panel discussion, Hong Seong-min, director of the Human Resources Policy Research Division at STEPI talked about ‘The era of growth without employment: the strategy to create jobs based on technical innovations’ and Lee Gi-seok, vice president of Korea Business Incubation Association talked about ‘Ways to boost start-ups based on science and technology.’
The panel discussion was headed by Prof. Son Jin-hun of Chungnam National University and focused on ways to create jobs in the area of science and technology.
