KISTEP together with ISTIC, a S&T cooperation support organization under the auspices of UNESCO for developing countries, hosted the 4^th KISTEP-ISTIC S&T Policy Training Program for High Level Policy Makers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 5-9.

A total of 23 high level S&T policy makers from 16 countries such as Egypt, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Pakistan and Peru attended the training course in the 4^th annual S&T innovation training program,.

This year’s program was noted for its diversity: there were workshops on technology prediction, policy planning and R&D project assessment. Trainees presented the current S&T status in their countries followed by a discussion session. They had a chance to visit R&D industry and research institutes. There was time spared for the participants to savor the Malaysian culture.
