KISTEP (President Lee June-seung) held the 81^st KISTEP Academy with Woncheol, Buddhist monk at Haeinsa Temple, as the guest speaker, who spoke on the topic of ‘Dong-Che-Seo-Yong (a philosophy advocating maintaining the Eastern civilization as one’s body and accepting the Western civilization to make best of it).

Woncheol introduced the coffee cultures of Korea and Japan that have not admitted the Western coffee culture as it is but have accepted it ively. However, he warned about the addictive nature of coffee as well as tea. He referred to the hardship the civet is suffering due to people’s excessive pursuit of coffee luxury. He concluded his speech by introducing the movement advocating fair trade coffee worldwide.
