A briefing on "The Government R&D System Improvement” for creating a research environment of autonomy and responsibility was held on April 26 (Fri) at the ICC Hotel by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and KISTEP.

 

The briefing was organized to explain the main contents of the improvement of the R&D system, including the revised "Regulations on the Management of Government R&D Programs," in March 2019. In addition, opinions from the research site were collected for establishing an auditing culture that would consider the specificity of R&D and remove the hidden ritual regulations from the site. About 400 researchers and heads of research administration departments at universities, government-funded research institutes, companies and specialized institutes attended the briefing session to discuss the main contents and future tasks of improving the R&D system.
