Ministry of Science and ICT and KISTEP held a launching ceremony for ‘On-site inspection team for research administration & regulation(on-site inspection team)’ to find and eliminate unreasonable administrative processes and regulations hidden in research environments.


The on-site inspection team is established to resolve the difficulties in administrative processes and regulations that are still remained as a custom in R&D at universities, government-funded institutes, and enterprises, in spite of the institutional progress for ‘establishment of people-centered research environment.’ Private experts with abundant research and administrative experience from universities, government-funded institutes, and enterprises will find unreasonable regulations and seek solutions.

The inspection team is composed of 30 members, 10 people in each of three subdivisions including universities, government-funded institutes, and enterprises, and targets ▲to be operated by ‘the lead of private experts’ rather than the lead of the government ▲to focus on ‘unreasonable administrative regulations’ hidden in research environments ▲to achieve visible results on-site.


The inspection team, external experts, and government officials are planing to arrange specific solutions for each regulation they found during the inspection in the second half of this year.
