On April 29th, KISTEP and the Ministry of Science and ICT(MSIT) held the second online forum, "The Future after COVID-19: What are the technologies we should prepare for?" as part of the urgent response series, "Toward the Future After COVID-19 Crisis."

In this forum, 25 technologies were introduced as key technologies of the post-COVID-19 future as diagnosed by MSIT and KISTEP's quinquennial Science and Technology Forecasting Survey. The online forum was broadcast live on YouTube and its full video is available in link below.

Director Hyun Yim from the KISTEP Center for Technology Foresight, gave a presention titled "Emerging Technology in Post-COVID-19 Era," and experts from industry, academia and research institutes participated in the panel discussion to talk about the impact of the technologies and discuss policies to bring them into reality. The panelists included Dong-hoon Lee, project manager of KAKAO, Ga-woon Ban, head of the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET), Young-joon Moon, director of The Korea Transport Institute(KOTI), Yong-joo Cho, senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology(KITECH), Hye-on Yoon, senior researcher at the Korea Basic Science Institute(KBSI), Heon-sik Kim, visiting professor at Dong-A University of Arts, and Yong-jin Yeom, professor at Kookmin University. The section to respond to the questions and discussions shared on the live chat followed the panel discussion.
