On May 7th, KISTEP and the Ministry of Science and ICT(MSIT) held the third online forum, "K-Bio Health, Aspires to become Global Power" as part of the urgent response series, "Toward the Future After COVID-19 Crisis."

In this forum, the major change the bio-health industry face due to COVID-19 were diagnosed and Korea's strategies to become global power in bio-health was discussed. The online forum was broadcast live on YouTube and its full video is available in link below.

The forum comprised of presentations from 4 experts followed by the panel discussion and Q&A sessions with the online participants.



▶  Sang Seon Kim (President, KISTEP) explaining the significance of the forum in the opening remark. He mentioned, "In addition to the proven diagnostic kit, we need to accelerate the development of related treatments and vaccines. Moreover, we should promote technology development in the new areas of opportunity such as telemedicine, Al Healthcare and medical big data, in which IT and BT are converged."



▶ Tae-hwan Lim (Chairman, National Academy of Medicine of Korea) is giving a congratulatory speech on video.



▶ Ju-sil Lee (Director, GFID) is giving a presentation on "Scope and Implications of Research on Infectious Diseases in the Pan-Ministry Through COVID-19 Pandemic Response."



▶ Park Hyun (Professor, Wonkwang University Medical School) is giving a presentation on "Current Status and Future Strategies for Development of Immuno-Diagnosis Methods in Preventing COVID-19"



▶ Seung-jae Song (CEO, Lifesemantics) is giving a presentation on "The Spread of Un-tact-based Digital Health Platform."



▶ Tae-soon Kim (CEO, SyntekaBio) is giving a presentation on "Next Generation Custom Medicine, AI New Drug Development and Regulatory Science."



▶ Seung-kyu Lee (Vice chairman, Korea Bio Association) is hosting the panel discussion.



▶ Young-mi Ji, (Advisor, Global Infectious Diseases Center at Seoul National University Medical School) is making a comment during the panel discussion.



▶ Hyun-a Yoo (Director, GC Green Cross Laboratory) is making a comment during the panel discussion.



▶ Chung-min Ryu, (Director, Center for Infectious Diseases Research at the Korea Biotechnology Institute) is making a comment during the panel discussion.
