On November 24th, KISTEP held the 4th NIS policy online colloquium, themed ‘How to improve academia-industry collaboration’. This event was streaming online on KISTEP youtube channel to follow the Covid-19 guideline, and the replay is available on link below.

President Sang-seon Kim delivered an opening remarks, emphasizing the necessity to discuss the system and policy are still essential for promoting academia-industry collaborations.
The speakers of colloquium was followings: ▲Professor Moon Namkoong (Wonkwang University) ▲Dr. Dong-deok Jeong (KISTEP)
Professor Moon Namkoong (Wonkwang University) gave the 1st presentation about past and future of industry-academia collaborations. He suggested the direction of future academia-industry collaborations while reinstating the history of Korea.
Dr. Dong-deok Jeong (KISTEP) gave the 2nd presentation on how to improve academia-industry collaboration, providing the overseas instances of academia-industry collaboration, and major issues of Korea’s case.
In the following discussion, Director General Jang-jae Lee (KISTEP) was the host of discussion, and participants were as follows: Professor Yong-tae Kim (Namseoul University), Professor Byeong-hoon Jeon (Hanyang University), Ms Kyeong-ae Ahn (Digital Times), Team Manager Seung-pil Jeong (the Federation of Korean Industries, FKI)
