KISTEP signed the 2021 Joint Collective Agreement with the Korean Union of Public Sector Research and Professional Workers (KUPRP) at the ICC Hotel in Daejeon on November 8 (Mon). Sang-seon Kim (president of KISTEP), Sung-woo Lee (chairman of KUPRP), Jong-sun Lee (KISTEP union branch manager), and the negotiating committee members from 18 related organizations participated in the joint collective agreement.

The 19 joint collective agreement participating institutions, including KISTEP, and KUPRP promoted five main negotiations after the first main negotiation in May 2021, which led to expand and operate childcare-friendly systems such as strengthening child care leave and improving the convenience of using spouse maternity leave, and to introduce regulations to strengthen the protection of employee privacy.

In the future, KISTEP will faithfully fulfill its social responsibilities as a public institution and continue to make efforts to establish advanced labor-management relations, and will also hold separate consultations with the KISTEP branch to conclude wage agreements and branch-specific agreements from November 2021.
