KISTEP discussed S&T cooperation between Korea and India with the representatives from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Government of India, and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on November 22 (Tuesday).

This meeting aimed to discuss KISTEP's activities related to S&T statistics and data utilization for S&T policy and program planning, as well as plans for cooperation between Korea and India.

KISTEP presented and discussed △ the National R&D program survey and analysis, △ the main contents of survey on R&D activities to the representatives, including Dr. Akhilesh Gupta (Assistant Secretary) of DST of India and Ms. Reshmi Vasudevan of UNIDO.

During the meeting, the DST of India stated that they would like to follow the Korean model of integrating the Frascati manual of OECD in order to incorporate the Frascati manual into India’s R&D survey and analysis.

After this meeting, KISTEP is planning to seek cooperation measures for the transfer of relevant expertise.
