The Integrated R&D Information System (IRIS), which is supervised by the Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Jong-Ho Lee) and operated by KISTEP, won the public sector award at the '2023 National Brand Awards Ceremony' held on April 27 at The Ambassador Hotel Seoul.

IRIS is an integrated research support system that unifies standardized regulations/forms and each institution's research support systems according to the 'National R&D Innovation Act'. It was developed to enhance research immersion and R&D efficiency by alleviating administrative burdens in research fields and breaking down information barriers between ministries.

President Byung-Seon Jeong said, "Big data from the entire cycle of national R&D programs is being accumulated in IRIS. If we apply digital technologies such as AI, it will be possible to develop it into a 'data-driven S&T innovation platform' to enhance the competitiveness in Korea."

The National Brand Awards is a brand certification system jointly conducted and evaluated by Maekyung Media Group and the Consumer Brand Evaluation Institute. It selects organizations with excellent capabilities in creating value for stakeholders and in building and maintaining brand equity on an annual basis.
